Terms of Service

1. Overview

Yoinku ("the Service") provides video metadata, subtitle transcripts and download tooling for YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, through a web interface and an HTTP API. The Service is operated by an individual ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts and API keys

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. API keys are personal: keep them secret and do not share them. You are responsible for all activity performed with your account and keys.

3. Acceptable use

Use the Service only for content you own or have permission to process. You are responsible for complying with the terms of the platforms the content comes from and with the laws that apply to you, including copyright law.

Transcripts and metadata are provided for analysis purposes (search, summarization, research, machine processing). Do not use the Service for unlawful purposes, do not attempt to circumvent quotas or access controls, and do not disrupt the Service.

4. Quotas, plans and billing

Free usage is subject to daily quotas, which we may change at any time. Paid plans and their limits are described on the pricing section of the API page. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store card details. Refunds are handled per our Refund Policy.

5. Intellectual property

All processed content belongs to its respective rights holders. We claim no ownership of content you process through the Service. The Service's own code, branding and documentation remain ours.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Source platforms may change or block access at any time, which can degrade or interrupt the Service.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (or USD 10 if you paid nothing). We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the Service, or create legal or operational risk. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after a revision constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the operator's place of residence in Japan.
